As a woman you might be often faced with the problem of itchy breasts. Not only does an itchy breast make you feel very uncomfortable all day round, but it also makes wearing bra all the more difficult, and the problem is that rubbing the itch causes the breast to become more sore and itchy. Curing the problem of itchy breasts require knowledge of what might be causing the itch. You may also additionally require the following things if you are determined to cure the case of itchy breasts; any off-the-shelf ointment for rash, an anti-itch lotion, a moisturizing cream, scent-free body wash, soft cup or a cotton bra, and a luffa sponge. Lace bras are one of the leading causes of irritation in breasts and nipples. If you wear one, try to make a shift to a soft cup or lace-less bra. A cotton bra would also be helpful. Just avoid lace bras.
Another possible cause of itchy breasts might be the body-wash or soap you might be using. Body wash and soaps often contain highly intensive chemicals, for the aromatic effect, which can react with your skin to cause more itchy skin. A good alternative to avoid such cases of itchiness is to use scent-free body washes. Dry skin can also be a possible cause of itchy breasts. It is easy to spot dry skin patches on your nipples. If you observe small bits of areas on your nipples or breasts that are duller or blacker than the surrounding skin color, the skin in these areas might be dry. To resolve the issue of dry skin, use a luffa or any other sponge while taking a shower, a swim or a bath. Once you've dried your skin after bathing, apply a moisturizing cream on your breasts. Hopefully, this would resolve the issue itchy breasts, if it is caused by dry skin.
Often it is difficult to keep the area below the breasts tidy and completely dry. This is specially the case for women with substantially larger breasts. Try to avoid this as it can result in growth of fungus under the breast which might only further the issue of itchy breasts.
PMS can also cause itchy breasts. If this is the case use any anti-itch lotion that contains some form of analgesic (for instance menthol). Please keep it in mind to find a lotion that has a pH power of 1.0 or less. If you use a lotion with a pH power of 2.0 or more, remember to use it in moderation as excessive usage would only cause more irritation. Lastly, remember that your breast like any other part of your body needs to be kept maintained. If a rash has formed on or under your breast use any off-the-shelf rash ointment until the rash has completely been cured. Moreover, it is not mandatory to wear a bra at all time. Just before you sleep or whenever you feel like, make a habit of not wearing bra for a specific time in the day. Remember; only through appropriate care the problem of itchy breasts be alleviated. |
